    Quick question regarding thermal sensitivity

I am getting slightly confused over the non standard listings that manufacturers have when explaining thermal sensitivity. I see NETD ratings like 100mk and such and then I see designations such as .10 and .08 etc... How do these values correlate to each other? Would a 100mk rating be equivalent to .10 and so on, or is it a totally different conversion? I know that the lower the rating, the better for thermal sensitivity and better image definition. I also notice that this is the specification that manufacturers seem to be the most ambiguous about mentioning.

Sorry for all the questions lately, but as my purchase date gets closer, I am just trying to make sure my selection does not leave me with buyer's remorse.

    thanks

You have guessed right about the relationship between the numbers.

    0.100 C (or 0.100 K -- identical) is equivalent ot 0.100 K * 1000 mK/K = 100 mK, where mK is milliKelvin.

Please realize, if it is not clear, that a LOWER value is MORE sensitive!
