    Racing Engines

I have heard that with IR it is possible to diagnose improperly working fuel injectors on internal combustion engines. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this type of application, or know of any other applications with these types of motors?

    Re: Racing Engines

No direct, personal knowledge, but I have seen comments indicating that clogged fuel injectors show as hot, since the normal fuel flow cools them.

I was embedded for several years with a Formula 1 team strictly working on thermal imaging projects, and naturally the engines of the racecars were a significant point of interest..
