    Locomotive Cable

    Good Morning Everyone

We are a steel mill and we are installing new motors we will be pulling locomotive cable to these motors. My question is what emissivity setting do I need to use for this cable?

    Re: Locomotive Cable

Not sure what you mean by locomotive cable, so I won't be giving a direct answer.  Also, you do not specify the wavelength band you are using, so a direct answer would be potentially wrong.

I suggest that your best approach would be to take a representative piece of the cable and test the emissivity.
