Hi there, IR Talk friends. Stephen Brown here, out of Jefferson City, Missouri.
I've posted in the past indicating I was interested in starting a thermal imaging business of my own. I still possess this desire. I have been a bit under the weather for the past months. I'm feeling better now and am ready to get back to the task of putting things together to get myself off the ground.
That said, I am consulting this forum for help on some issues. I need a source--preferably free or at least something that won't cost me $1500.00 and up--for accurate, up-to-date information containing relevant numbers for a business plan. Data pertaining specifically to Thermography--especially projections for it's use as an income-creating tool for the home-inspection industry--are needed and desired.
I can, for the most part, write the core elements of a business plan: Mission Statement, Type of Business, Customers Served, etc. What I have problems with are the 'financials,' that part of the business plan using real numbers obtained from relevant and accurate industry sources to make fair and reasonably accurate projection statements for investors, principally banks and the SBA.
I have access to some business planning software, as well, so that process is, for me, largely automated. However, without proper data figures, I have no way to fill in all the numerical and financial data pertaining to the industry, itself, and these are going to be mandatory for a new start up--and my first one ever, at that!
The more pertinent the information and the more specific, the better. I already understand the basics of writing the business plan. What I need are relevant facts and figures. Armed with those, I can write my own plan from scratch!
Thanks in advance for everyone's help,
Warm Regards,
Stephen Brown
